Less than a month ago, I wrote an article concerning the status of the study of the Playstation 3 on a possible discovery of some method that would allow the 'start-up copies of our original games. Today I want to continue discussing this same topic because there is an update. PlayStation 3 in the pipeline the "edit"? It seems so ...

For several months I am trying to follow the developments and rumors pertaining to the famous last modified home console Sony PlayStation 3. I want to clarify, right now, who are absolutely opposed to piracy, even though we would have to say a few words about the disproportionate cost of video games, but this is not the time to do it and not the news I want you back.

My interest in the PlayStation 3 is tied almost exclusively to the enormous potential of a console that has a Cell processor that includes the beauty of 8 cores. Imagine having your hands a device with 8 processors at 3.0 Ghz and you'll understand immediately what we are talking about processing power. Then have the ability to install Linux and then to customize any aspect of the operating system and the result is easily identified. There are some studies on the PS3 even show a cluster of consoles Sony be able to far exceed the computing power of clusters expensive "traditional" (if you look on the internet "playstation 3 clusters will find many interesting links).

From what I have said it is clear that the Playstation 3 goes much further than just gaming. Yet, it seems that the console issue here, lack of an opportunity: to launch customized applications directly from Sony's operating system at home. In addition, currently, you can not start backup copies of their expensive games, so we must keep well for BluRay we buy if we are not damaging them and having to repurchase. This problem seems that Sony will fix it with future firmware releases, but in the meantime an alternative way might be to have a change (hardware or software - is a trend towards the latter) that allows you to bypass controls on ' originality of BluRay or other software in memory (SD or HDD) and run unsigned applications including Sony. And 'what is called "THE CHANGE" :)

In the recent past have followed many "fake" on various methods to allow us to take copies of software is not protected. But now things are changing. We are moving on two fronts: on the one hand you try to start the console with firmware used by developers (firmware debugging) because on the latter is already possible to boot software is not signed. Secondly we try to write a "loader" which allows to start the software also signed by a different medium than the BluRay disc. In the first case, the firmware debugging it seems that you can install the console is not dedicated to testing, the problem is that not all functions are usable. In the meantime, here's where the video shows the start of a game from an SD card. The source of this video is highly reliable. This is the famous site PS3News :
